MI6: United Kingdom
MI6 (Military Intelligence), is the common name for the UK’s Secret Intelligence Service (SIS). It is tasked mainly with the covert overseas collection and analysis of human intelligence in support of the UK’s national security. The SIS priority roles are counter-terrorism, counter-proliferation, providing intelligence in support of cyber security, and supporting stability overseas to disrupt terrorism and other criminal activities.
The iconic 007 James Bond purported to be a member of MI6, however the role of an intelligence agent has changed somewhat with the development of technology and is likely to be less action-packed and not make good cinema. A Bone Fide identity can take years. It is know that indigence agencies recruit talented students in universities, at an age where they can be indoctrinated and moulded.
The more legitimate the Government document the more Bone Fide the cover. Last but not least, this inevitably includes your mainstream social media profiles and immediate circle.

controversially it’s own citizens. MI6 has a comparable department that works closely with MI5 separately tasked with these offensive and defensive roles.
MI6 has most recently collaborated with MI5 in exposing the alleged Chinese agent Christine Lee for ‘political interference’ – i.e. subverting the course of democracy. Although considered a method of espionage it is unlucky Lee will be prosecuted.
Moreover; intelligence information is in many cases volunteered by the users themselves with the use of hardware and/or software that permits intelligence agencies to snoop via a backdoor.
Bloomberg reports that Huawei has become the largest manufacturer of telecommunications in the world. Such is our dependence on tech that even if Governments do not use their products and services the general population may well do so. For this reason US President Trump signed a bill banning the use Huawei and ZTE products. Note that the Huawei CFO (Meng Wanzhou) was arrested and later extradited.
In 2012, Australian intelligence officials informed the CIA that they had detected a sophisticated intrusion into the country’s telecommunications systems which was initiated by a software update from Huawei that uploaded a malicious code.
This raises the same and greater concerns about the Huawei 5G super fast network. Whilst the company has attempted to counter claims that Huawei is not a security threat, a Chinese MI6 informant (Wang Yam now serving life for murder) has been providing information to the parliamentary intelligence and security committee (ISC). Additionally; it has been reported that the most recent Press Chief for Borris Jonson (Guto Harri) had lobbying so that Huawei would not be dropped fomr the UK’s 5G netwrok.
